Episode 410: Vicious Horse Analogies

This week on STICK TO WRESTLING we review the NWA during the month of April 1986!

—Jim Cornette and the Midnight Express deliver a brutal assault on Baby Doll in an angle that’s both great and genuinely uncomfortable. The real-life heat between Cornette and Baby Doll was obvious, and we jump into all of it.
—Ricky Morton steps up to challenge Ric Flair for the NWA World Title. Do the fans actually buy Morton as a serious threat? And maybe more importantly, does that even matter?
—Tully Blanchard takes exception to Ron Garvin’s knockout punch as a finisher, so naturally he responds the only way Tully would: by smashing Garvin’s right hand with a cowboy boot.
—Paul Jones approaches Manny Fernandez with an offer for the first time. It won’t be the last.
—Magnum T.A. may be the United States Champion, but it’s Nikita Koloff who’s dictating the terms as the challenger.
—Arn Anderson continues to thrive as NWA Television Champion, quietly putting together one of the best runs in the business.
