Episode 195: RIP To The Hulkamania Era

This week STICK TO WRESTLING is joined by stand-up comedian Kyle Lewis, who is also a lifelong wrestling fan, and we review Wrestlemania 8 on the heels of it’s thirtieth birthday! We discuss:

—This was the end of The Hulkamania Era. Hogan would re-invent himself in the mid-90’s, but what started when he defeated the Iron Sheik in 1984 ended on this afternoon.
—Why Sid Justice was in the main event.
—Why we did not get the obvious “dream match” between Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair on this show.
—Was Hulk Hogan vs Sid Justice the worst Wrestlemania main event ever?
—The term “psychology” can get tossed around loosely in wrestling circles, but not when it comes to the Bret Hart vs Roddy Piper showdown.
—The screwed up finish for the main event.

Plus Kyle tells us what it was like watching this event live when he was five years old, so what are you waiting for? Download and listen to this wicked good bad boy!

Stick To Wrestling- give us sixty minutes and perhaps indeed, we’ll give you a rawboned and wicked good podcast.
