This week STICK TO WRESTLING is joined again by popular guest by Steve Crawford, and we discuss the glory days of Memphis Wrestling. Steve grew up not far from where the promotion was based and he shares some outstanding memories. We discuss:

–Jimmy Hart was literally silent on television until Jerry Lawler’s 1980 leg injury. How long before Hart inevitably turns on Lawler?

–Who’s a guy who “clicked” in Memphis, but was never a big deal outside of that territory?

–We talk about trading for Memphis VHS tapes back in the day.

–Did Jerry Lawler have better chemistry with Austin Idol or Bill Dundee?

–What if Jim Cornette took over as the Memphis booker after departing WCW in 1990?

–Could the WWF used Jerry Lawler as it’s national expansion centerpiece based on his appearance on Late Night with David Letterman?

Plus Steve Crawford provides valuable historic information regarding the Jarrett / Gulas split in 1977 and the near split between Jarrett and Lawler in 1983 AND we provide bonus material where we discuss out five favorite albums of 1982, so what are you waiting for? Download and listen to this wicked good podcast today!
